Due to the season and the high latitude, the sun always remains low on the horizon, casting incredibly long, dramatic shadows across the pathways. Every statue, column, and tree trunk creates a deep, distorted black shape that stretches across the gold-strewn ground. This play of light and shadow is the garden’s most artistic contribution to the Halloween atmosphere, turning simple park benches and railings into haunting, elongated silhouettes.
