Inside the Conservatory, the Primeval Forest section—often referred to as the "Jungle Room"—is naturally one of the spookiest parts of the garden. Filled with cycads, ferns, and plants dating back to prehistoric times, the dim lighting, hanging mosses, and humid air create a genuinely unsettling and ancient atmosphere. While not decorated, the sheer foreignness and age of the plants make it feel like walking through a landscape that pre-dates humanity, which is a surprisingly effective way to invoke a feeling of wonder and slight fear appropriate for the Halloween season.
