A Pleasant Surprise in Weihai! Not Planned, but the Most Worthwhile Stop on This Trip

Went to Weihai for the weekend and originally didn’t include attractions near Weihai Station in the itinerary. By chance, I stumbled upon them, and they instantly became the highlight of the entire trip! Few people, beautiful scenery, one-stop for sightseeing, eating, and fun—wish I had discovered this sooner!

1. Efficient 1-Day Itinerary (No detours, hitting the highlights)

Huaxia Archway ➡️ Ecological Corridor ➡️ Xiayuan Garden (capture Jiangnan style) ➡️ Cultural Valley (leisurely stroll and enjoy the view) ➡️ High-altitude Glass Bridge (panoramic overlook) ➡️ Jungle Dragon/Speed Water Slide/Magic Carpet (choose 1-2 to play) ➡️ Shenyou Aquarium (cool down and end the day)

2. Must-Visit Highlights (Each spot has surprises, don’t miss out)

1. Xiayuan Garden · Jiangnan Water Town: There’s actually a piece of Jiangnan hidden in Weihai! Blue tiles, white walls, small bridges, and flowing water—walking here, you forget you’re by the sea. The best time to visit is 3 PM when the light is soft and not harsh. Wear light-colored clothes for photos; the gentle vibe is instantly enhanced, and every shot looks like a classic Jiangnan misty rain scene.
2. High-altitude 5D Glass Bridge: Standing on the bridge offers a super wide view—you can see the outline of Weihai city in the distance and look down on the lush green canyon below. The glass beneath your feet has subtle special effects, making photos both stunning and a little thrilling.
3. Jungle Dragon/Speed Water Slide/Magic Carpet: Don’t miss these if you like rides! Note: The Jungle Dragon’s opening hours differ on weekdays and weekends, so check before entering to avoid disappointment. In summer, choose the Speed Water Slide for a refreshing and stress-relieving experience; if you prefer something less intense, take the Magic Carpet, slowly walking up while enjoying the scenery and relaxing.
4. Shenyou Aquarium: The perfect summer cooling spot! After exploring Huaxia City, come here to instantly cool down. It’s recommended to wear light-colored clothes for silhouette photos, especially in the three-story jellyfish hall where the lighting on the jellyfish is dreamy and healing. Every snap looks like an underwater world.

3. Practical Information for the Scenic Area (Stress-free and no pitfalls)

- 🚗 Transportation: Take the high-speed train to Weihai Station, then a 10-minute taxi ride—no transfers needed, super convenient.
- 👟 Outfit: The scenic area is large, so be sure to wear comfortable sneakers and breathable casual clothes to avoid fatigue after a full day of walking.
- 🚌 Shuttle: If you don’t want to walk, you can take the scenic area shuttle bus to save energy and spend more time enjoying the views and attractions.

If your Weihai trip passes through Weihai Station, be sure to reserve a day here—it will definitely surprise you more than you expect.
