Along the way, you can also visit ancient temples to feel the Taoist atmosphere. Food recommendations: Dingxi’s lamb paomo (bread soaked in mutton soup) and hand-pulled lamb are highly distinctive local specialties with delicious flavors; around Taibai Mountain, mushroom dishes and farmhouse cuisine such as stir-fried eggs with vegetables are fresh and refreshing. Notable attractions include Dingxi’s Weihe River Source Scenic Area, showcasing the origins of Yellow River civilization; and Taibai Mountain’s Heavenly Lake and waterfall clusters, which are picturesque. Regarding ticket prices, Taibai Mountain tickets are about 120 RMB per person, Guqing Mountain Scenic Area in Dingxi is around 50 RMB, and other smaller attractions are mostly free or low-cost, offering great value.

Transportation
To reach Dingxi, you can fly to Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport and then transfer by car or train, taking about 2-3 hours; to get to Taibai Mountain, start from Xi’an and take a bus or drive along the G30 Expressway, about a 3-4 hour journey. It is advisable to check the weather and road conditions in advance and plan your trip carefully to ensure a smooth and enjoyable travel experience.
