The Grand Canyon is located on the southern slopes of the Tianshan Tomur Peak in Xinjiang, approximately 80 kilometers from Wensu County. It is one of the core areas of the Tianshan Tomur World Natural Heritage Protection Zone.
• Covering an area of about 200 square kilometers, the canyon consists of three main valleys and dozens of tributary valleys, intertwining to form a rich and diverse landscape. It is hailed as the "King of Canyons."
• The surrounding strata of the canyon are composed of red sandstone and shale, which have been weathered and eroded over the years to create a variety of geological formations such as cliffs, stone pillars, rift valleys, and salt hills. It is praised as a "living museum of geological evolution."
🌟 Highlights and Features
• Unique Yardang and Danxia Landforms: The canyon features mountains with various shapes, resembling natural sculptures such as "Golden Kiss," "A Thread of Sky," "Human-faced Sphinx," and "City of Ten Thousand Mountains."
• Wild Adventure Experience: The park lacks paved roads, requiring visitors to drive on dry riverbed gravel with off-road vehicles. The unadorned wilderness beauty inspires awe.
• Ecological Conservation Achievements: The discovery of rare vulture nests on the canyon cliffs indicates significant ecological protection efforts, showcasing both natural scenery and wildlife conservation value.
