The Wieliczka Salt Mine is located about an hour's drive from Krakow, Poland.
It is a beautiful salt mine worthy of being called the "Salt Palace".
Opened in the mid-13th century, the salt mine is 327m deep, 300km long, and covers an area of 9 million cubic meters.
The mine has 2,000 small rooms and a large hall, a chapel, a dining hall, and even a sports field.
We met on site and went inside as part of a tour. They gave us a thorough explanation. They speak several languages, but no Japanese. We were given an explanation in English.
