Wabi-sabi style homestay | In the valley ⛰️ for those who love quiet drinking|||The first short trip in 2025, a wabi-sabi style homestay around Wuhan.

Originally planned to come with friends to celebrate my birthday at the end of November, booked a room a few months in advance, but plans couldn't keep up with changes, because of family surgery, the time changed again and again. However, my understanding of travel is that there is no need to be impatient, and you should move forward leisurely. The destination is important, but more importantly, the unknown and anticipation of the journey.

Self-driving travel is not about rushing, checking in at many attractions, or storing countless photos in the camera, nor is it about showing off your experiences on social networks. The meaning of travel lies in stepping on those paths that have never been set foot on, gazing at those sceneries that have never been appreciated, and experiencing those customs and cultures that have never been experienced.

👉Some tips for those who want to go:

1️⃣Travel time: Wuhan—Huangpi Mulan Mountain (self-driving takes about 1 hour, the mountain road is winding and narrow, drive safely)

2️⃣Room type: Yuehe Linquan Magnolia (the largest room type, suitable for two people, a family of three with children under 10 years old is appropriate)

·With front and back yard balconies
·With floor heating
·Sofa 🛋＋1.8*2.0 bed 🛏＋welcome fruit (bring your own wine)
·Fresh air system
·Refrigerator (free: Perrier + Sprite)
·Vinyl record player (you can choose records at the front desk)

3️⃣Dining: Free dinner on the day of check-in + breakfast the next day

If you want a richer dinner, you need to make an appointment in advance and communicate the menu. The chef is busy, we didn't know we could order, so we only ate the free hot pot, which was not enough. Later, we waited for a long time and added dry-fried lotus root shreds~ with Italian dry red wine, absolutely delicious!

4️⃣Bathroom: No floor heating and warm air system, the comfort is discounted

·Bathtub (the view is good, I basically don't take a bath outside, except for using a disposable bath bag in the hotel)
·Shower (because it is on the mountain, it may use a solar water heater, each time you can take a shower for up to 30 minutes, it will be a bit cold)
·Toilet (non-electric toilet, with seat heating function)
·Dyson hair dryer
·Complete toiletries (with body lotion)

5️⃣Check-in and check-out: Check-in at 14:00 on the day of check-in, check-out before 12:00 the next day

BTW🤩, the Italian Tuscany dry red wine I brought this time was praised by my old friend~ smooth and easy to drink, a taste bud enjoyment, lighting up this wonderful night!

Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are blended in equal proportions and aged in high-quality French small oak barrels for 14 months. Paired with a slow-cooked old duck hot pot, it's refreshing! The dry-fried lotus root shreds were served late and not finished, so I reluctantly packed them back to the room to continue drinking~

On a refreshing night, I read a novel, listened to the music from the film, raised my glass, and this is the moment that makes life feel beautiful and worthwhile!
