Golden Autumn in Wuxi, a three-day, two-night travel guide!

In October, Wuxi has clear skies and light clouds, the fragrance of osmanthus fills the air,
Taihu Lake ripples gently, ginkgo leaves begin to turn yellow, and ancient towns are peaceful.
There are no crowds like during May Day, only the gentle warmth of autumn.

Take the high-speed train to Wuxi Station (round-trip hard sleeper or special tickets save more), then taxi to Nanchang Street (about 20 RMB).
Stay at a youth hostel or budget guesthouse (💰within 300 RMB/night). In the evening, stroll along Qingming Bridge Ancient Canal, the lights reflecting on the water are super soothing.
For dinner, enjoy street food: Sanfengqiao braised pork ribs (small portion), Wang Xing Ji soup dumplings, all for about 40 RMB per person.

At noon, take the bus to Lihu Park and ride a bike along the lake (shared bike 1.5 RMB/hour), the autumn breeze is very pleasant.
In the afternoon, explore the open area of Huishan Ancient Town (no ticket required), take photos of old houses and ginkgo trees, and enjoy a cup of Biluochun tea for 5 RMB at a teahouse, the atmosphere is perfect.

Day 3: Xihui Park + Return Trip
Early morning enter Xihui Park (combo ticket about 30 RMB after discount, half price for students), climb Huishan to overlook Wuxi city, autumn leaves color the ancient pagoda.
On the way, take a quick look at Jichang Garden (photos allowed from outside), then head back.
