Wuyuan, a small town hidden in Jiangxi, is known as "China's Most Beautiful Countryside." In this deepening autumn season, come with me on a healing rural journey~
🚗 Three-Day Essential Itinerary:
DAY 1:
📍 Huangling Scenic Area (recommended 4 hours)
This is Wuyuan's signature attraction, where terraced fields, autumn drying scenes, and ancient residences form a stunning pastoral painting. Staying inside the scenic area allows you to capture the serene early morning views without crowds!
DAY 2:
📍 Likeng (recommended 2-3 hours)
A true depiction of small bridges, flowing water, and riverside homes. Stroll along the stream and feel the slow pace of this thousand-year-old ancient village. The oil-paper umbrella shop in the alley is perfect for photos~
📍 Wangkou (recommended 1.5 hours)
A well-preserved village with Hui-style architecture. The wood carving craftsmanship of the Yu Clan Ancestral Hall is breathtaking.
DAY 3:
📍 Rainbow Bridge (recommended 1 hour)
One of the oldest covered bridges in China, built during the Song Dynasty. The ancient bridge shrouded in morning mist is especially poetic!
🏡 Accommodation Recommendations:
It is recommended to stay within the Huangling Scenic Area (Shaqiu Meisu, Tianjie Hotel) to enjoy the peaceful and crowd-free morning scenery. Hotels in the county seat are more affordable but require getting up early to take the scenic area shuttle bus.
🍲 Must-Try Foods:
Hu tofu, lotus leaf-wrapped red carp, steamed cakes, Wuyuan steamed cakes. Farmhouse restaurants in the scenic area are a bit pricey; for authentic flavors, visit the old-brand restaurants in the county seat.
✨ Practical Tips:
1. September to November is the best season for autumn drying; early morning or evening light is best for photos.
2. The distances between attractions are quite far; chartering a car is the most convenient (about 300-400 RMB/day).
3. Wearing light-colored or red clothes will make your photos stand out more.
4. Remember to bring non-slip shoes, as the stone slab roads in the ancient villages can be slippery.
