Raonan Natural Village is located in the northeast of Yaoli Town, Fuliang County, Jiangxi Province, 2 kilometers away from Yaoli Ancient Town. It has 96 households and 386 people. The village is surrounded by mountains and the Yao River runs through the village. It is an ancient village with beautiful scenery and profound ceramic history and culture.
Raonan Village is nestled between the valleys of Bajiao and Kaoqi Mountains, where lush ancient trees and swaying bamboos crisscross the hills. The crystal-clear Yao River flows through the village, its waves shimmering with light. Hui-style dwellings are meticulously arranged along the waterfront, while cultural and leisure covered bridges cleverly span the beautiful water. Ancient bluestone paths gently extend to each household, seemingly revealing a long and glorious history.
Among the Hui-style architecture, two ancient ancestral halls are the most dazzling. One is the Zhan Clan Ancestral Hall. In front of the gate is a crescent-shaped Sun and Moon Pond, which is always filled with clear water and serves as an ancient firefighting facility. Beside the gate are a pair of weathered stone drums. The ancestral hall, with its three courtyards and two patios, is magnificent.
One is the Zhan clan branch ancestral hall, with its lifelike wood carvings, well-preserved. In the construction of new rural areas, villagers have fully utilized the unique local resources. The ancient ancestral hall has become a community activity center, a clubhouse for the village senior sports association, and a venue for villagers' weddings and funerals, exploring an effective way to address the investment difficulties in rural community construction.
Subtropical monsoon humid climate; Raonan Village has preserved many ancient kiln sites, and there is also a workshop for making ceramics on site at the entrance. The ruins of the ancient dragon kiln are relatively well preserved. In Raonan, you can experience the profound ceramic culture of Jingdezhen. It is suitable for travel in all seasons.
