Wuzhen Water Town in China

🌳 I visited Wuzhen Water Town, one of China's famous water towns, located about an hour and a half from Shanghai.

🔮 Wuzhen is divided into two areas: Dongzha (East Zone) and Xizha (West Zone). Dongzha retains a more traditional village atmosphere as residents still live there, while Xizha has been transformed into a tourist area with cafes, souvenir shops, and restaurants.

In Dongzha, you can take a boat ride along the canals to explore the village, while in Xizha, the tour includes dining, shopping for souvenirs, enjoying tea at cafes, and having free time to explore. 🦋

Dongzha felt more traditional and authentic, with people still living there, whereas Xizha was much larger in scale, offering more attractions, food, and drinks. 🌺

I bought a beautifully embroidered fan as a gift, enjoyed local cuisine, drank Chinese tea, and had a delightful time. The view of the waterfront houses illuminated at night was a stunning sight to behold.
