Xi'an Forest of Steles: A pilgrimage site for calligraphy enthusiasts

On my first trip to Xi'an, I spent the first two days at the Forest of Steles Museum. It felt like stepping into a treasure trove of millennia of Chinese calligraphy history. Seeing the famous steles, which I'd usually only copied from copybooks, up close, every stroke, was truly thrilling and awe-inspiring.

The Forest of Steles Museum recently completed its expansion in May, with the new North Pavilion officially opening, significantly increasing both the exhibition area and the number of cultural relics. The newly added "Stars Shining in Chang'an" permanent exhibition features 21 calligraphy steles, recognized as national first-class cultural relics.
