Dear friends, who can resist a journey through a thousand years? Today, I bring you a fresh Xi'an travel guide! This ancient capital of thirteen dynasties is like a living history book, with every page full of stories. Let's start this wonderful Chang'an adventure together 😎

Preparation

Documents

ID card, student ID (don’t forget if you have discounts).

Clothing

Xi'an’s weather is changeable, prepare clothes according to the season. In spring and autumn, bring a light jacket; in summer, pay attention to sun protection with a sun hat and sun-protective clothing; in winter, wear thick cotton clothes, scarves, gloves, etc.

Other Items

Charger, power bank, camera (essential for capturing beautiful scenes), common medicines (cold medicine, stomach medicine, etc.).

Transportation Guide

External Transportation

● Airplane: Xi'an Xianyang International Airport is far from the city center. You can take the airport shuttle bus, Metro Line 14, or a taxi to the city.

● Train: Xi'an has Xi'an Station and Xi'an North Station. Xi'an North Station is mainly for high-speed trains, very convenient with Metro Lines 2 and 4 directly connecting to the city.

Internal Transportation

● Metro: Xi'an metro lines cover most major attractions, convenient and fast. It’s recommended to download the "Xi'an Metro" app for QR code rides.

● Bus: Most attractions have direct bus routes; just scan your phone to ride.

● Taxi/Ride-hailing: Taking a taxi in the city is also convenient, but you may encounter traffic jams during peak tourist seasons.

Food Recommendations

Must-try Snacks

● Roujiamo: Crispy outside, tender inside bread filled with fragrant braised meat. One bite leaves a lasting aroma. Highly recommend Zhangji Roujiamo on Ziwu Road 🥙

● Yangrou Paomo: Rich ingredients and fresh soup. You need to tear the bread yourself; the smaller the pieces, the more flavorful. Lao Sunjia Restaurant and Tongshengxiang Restaurant are well-established brands.

● Liangpi: Various flavors like sesame sauce liangpi and Qin Town liangpi. Wei’s Liangpi chain stores are numerous and quite authentic.

● Biangbiang Noodles: Wide and long noodles with a chewy texture, paired with rich sauce and toppings, very satisfying 🍜

Food Streets

● Muslim Quarter: A gathering place for various special snacks, but it’s crowded and prices may be a bit higher.

● Yongxingfang: You can taste foods from all over Shaanxi here, and the environment is quite good.
