Autumn Hiking in Xi'an | Real Shots of Red Leaves at Taping Event on October 18th

✅ It's unacceptable that anyone still doesn't know this hiking route. It's a top red leaf viewing hiking trail just 1.5 hours from Xi'an, with few people and beautiful scenery!
📍 Taping is located in Huazhou District, Weinan City, about a 1.5-hour drive from downtown Xi'an. Currently, there are few people. At the end point, there is an unfinished road where you can park, and no one charges for parking yet, which is definitely a plus 👍. The hiking route is about 7 kilometers round trip, about 2 hours uphill, and easier than Guifeng Mountain!
🧤 Itinerary
07:30 Gather at Sanyao Metro Station
08:00 Depart by bus
09:30 Arrive at the trailhead
12:00 Reach the highest red leaf viewing spot (lunch and rest)
14:30 Return downhill (all the way down from the rest spot are red leaf viewing points)
17:00 Take the bus back to Xi'an
‼️ Notes
1️⃣ This year Xi'an has had a lot of rain, making mountain paths slippery. Try to wear non-slip shoes, hiking boots are best. You will get hot and sweat while climbing, so wear quick-dry clothes. It can be a bit cold resting at the summit, so bring a fleece or a windbreaker. There are no supplies along the way, so bring your own water and food—about 3 bottles of drinking water and food of your choice.
2️⃣ Some sections are quite steep. If you have little outdoor experience or poor balance, bring trekking poles. Beginners should never hike alone.
3️⃣ Safety first for outdoor trips; try to go in groups.
4️⃣ Protect the environment, everyone is responsible. Please take your trash down from the wild mountain.

This place is still a pure land without heavy outdoor commercial atmosphere. You can tell from the fact that no one charges for parking at the mountain parking lot. Everyone, please cherish it. Do not cause safety accidents in the mountains, do not litter, and do not pick the village’s persimmons or other items (if someone sells them, you can buy some). Travel with civility!
