In Xiangshan, Ningbo, by the East China Sea, a wild luxury resort hotel quietly grows hidden among cliffs and reefs—Yu Zizai · Instant East. The hotel is located in Wuyantou Village, Gaotang Island Township, Xiangshan County, Ningbo, facing the East China Sea directly and looking across the sea at the Hu'ao Island Stone Forest. Here, the sea surrounds almost 360°, with tides as neighbors and reefs as companions, making it a true "secluded paradise." Driving is the preferred way to get here, about 1.5 hours by car from downtown Ningbo, with mountains and sea embracing you along the way.
Yu Zizai's brand aesthetics reach a new height in "Instant East." The designer adopts the "less is more" philosophy, transforming abandoned reef land into a wild luxury residence integrated with the mountains and sea. The exterior uses rugged and simple materials, such as washed stone walls and native reef accents, blending naturally. Indoors, the wisdom of "negative space" in Eastern aesthetics is evident everywhere, with minimal decoration but through the play of light, layout, and window views, the ocean, sky, and stone forest become the true protagonists of the space.
The hotel has only 17 rooms, almost every room features a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows facing the unbeatable sea view. Room sizes range from 55m² to 120m², continuing the natural material language indoors, with wood, linen, and coarse pottery weaving a warm texture. Details such as copper washbasins, smart voice control systems, custom bedding, Marshall speakers, Dyson hairdryers, niche fragrance bath products, and minibars balance comfort with Eastern living aesthetics.
Dining is another delightful surprise at Yu Zizai. The restaurant offers a 270° sea view, turning dining into a multi-dimensional sensory experience. Main meals focus on local seafood and creative dishes, with high praise for ingredient quality and cooking techniques. Breakfast includes Chinese seafood vermicelli, seafood congee, freshly made dim sum, or Western options.
