Shuangqiaogou: A Must-Visit 5A Scenic Spot!

If you love world-class natural scenery but prefer not to exhaust yourself hiking, Shuangqiaogou (双桥沟) is the perfect destination! Located in the Four Sisters Mountain National Park, this valley offers a stunning combination of pine forests, colorful foliage, crystal-clear streams, and snow-capped peaks all in one place 🍂🏔️

No need for long treks here, as shuttle buses conveniently take you to various photo spots. It's ideal for laid-back travelers, families, or anyone who wants to marvel at nature's grandeur without the hassle of carrying a backpack up a mountain.

The highlights include "Wuse Mountain" (五色山), or the Five-Colored Mountain, which glimmers in multiple hues under sunlight as if it has its own filter! Another must-see is "Longzhu Lake" (隆珠措), a serene lake nestled in the valley with pine trees growing in the water, resembling a living painting. The tranquil atmosphere is so peaceful you can hear nothing but the gentle sound of wind and flowing water.

At an altitude of 3,800 meters, the air is slightly thin, so it's recommended to carry a portable oxygen canister, especially if you're not accustomed to high altitudes. The temperature can change quickly, so bring windproof and sun-protective clothing. Despite the strong sunlight, the cool breeze makes it comfortable. The journey from Chengdu takes about 4–5 hours, making it perfect for a 2-day, 1-night trip combined with other attractions in Mt. Siguniang.
