🍓 Blooming Season: Early April to late May, with peak bloom around mid-to-late April
❤️ Recommended Spots:
Beihang Road: As Xichang's most famous jacaranda avenue, it's perfect for capturing stunning photos. You can also savor limited-edition summer treats like jacaranda yogurt and ice cream while enjoying some street photography.
Jiankang Road: This area is not only a sea of jacaranda but also features vibrant bougainvillea, allowing you to capture both Xichang's city tree and city flower in one shot.
Donghui Bridge at the end of Beihang Road: Here, you can reach out and touch the jacaranda blossoms, encountering the flowers up close. Every photo you take will be a masterpiece.
Jianchang East Road (Tangyuan): With its Tang Dynasty-style night scenery and dazzling lights, this is the best place to experience the enchanting beauty of jacaranda at night. You can also enjoy refreshments under the trees.
❤️ Xichang Cuisine
In addition to the recommended spots above, Moon Lake Wetland Park and Dengyue Road also boast beautiful jacaranda blooms.
❤️ Recommended Spot: Beihang Road
This is where you'll find the largest and most vibrant jacaranda blooms in Xichang. The 500-meter purple corridor is particularly striking against the blue sky.
1. Jianchang Alley
The ornate architecture contrasts beautifully with the pure purple blossoms, creating a graceful and elegant scene.
2. Chuangye Road
This is a relatively "hidden gem" with a unique charm, reminiscent of the verse "Flowers bloom silently under the moon in spring, shy of the moonlight in the deep night."
3. Wenhui Road
This street has a warm, down-to-earth atmosphere, much like a scene from a youth romance drama.
🍓 Tips:
💛 Don't forget sunscreen! Don't forget sunscreen! The sun in Xichang is very strong. There are also mosquitoes under the trees, so remember to bring mosquito repellent.
❤️ Transportation: You can drive from Chengdu/Kunming, with travel times of approximately 5 hours/6 hours, respectively. Although the drive is not short, the scenery along the way is spectacular. Besides driving, taking the high-speed train is also a good option. It takes about 3 hours from Chengdu and about 4 hours from Kunming, making it easy to enjoy feichang fen (vermicelli with preserved vegetables) in Chengdu in the morning and barbecue in Xichang at noon.
