With mountains and waters, the scenery rivals Xinjiang's Nalati, cool and pleasant—even chilly 💦! All scenic spots are free and vehicle-accessible, no hiking required! Delicious food, cozy stays, and budget-friendly—perfect for family trips with elders and kids!

✅Day 1: Xi'an 🚄 to Xinzhou West (4 hours)
Check in at Xinzhou Ancient Town! Stroll through the town, savor local snacks, and watch the spectacular iron-flower fireworks show!
This ancient town, recommended by CCTV, boasts 1,800 years of history.
For families, choosing a courtyard homestay enhances the experience.

Conveniently close to the snack street, rooms feature private courtyards and hot spring baths.
Soaking in the hot springs at night was pure bliss—kids loved it!

✅Day 2: Ancient Town to Heye Ping (~2.5-hour drive)
Explore 40,000 acres of alpine meadows! At 2,700m altitude, drive straight in—no hiking!
The highlight isn’t the destination but the jaw-dropping scenery along the way❗️
The views are unreal, like Xinjiang or Western Sichuan!
👉Recommended route: First head to📍Matoushan Village Committee (Ningwu County) via highway.
The Fen River scenery near the village bridge resembles Western Sichuan—drive right to the riverbank! Then proceed to📍Heye Ping. I stopped over 10 times in that hour-long drive—the roadside views were irresistible!
Heye Ping is an endless alpine meadow dotted with blooming wildflowers🌸.
We left at 8 AM and returned to town by 7 PM, enjoying another hot spring soak.
🚗Transport tips: Rent a car (¥150–250/day) or hire a private car (¥300–400).
Renting is better—the best sights are often along the road!

✅Day 3:
Wake up naturally and stroll the peaceful ancient town at 10 AM—no crowds!
Enjoy a leisurely meal before taking the afternoon train home.
For more time, try a 4-day loop:
Xinzhou Ancient Town - Heye Ping - Wuzhai County (overnight) - Luya Mountain - Hualingou Village (a hidden gem!) - Xinzhou Ancient Town (clockwise or reverse).
