You must try the freshly made stone cakes, crispy on the outside, soft inside with a sesame aroma; also, the intangible cultural heritage sugar paintings, where the master artist shakes his hand to create lively little animals—holding one while walking instantly brings back childhood joy. When tired, take a stroll along the ancient city wall; at dusk, watch the sunset cast its glow on the city tower, and even the breeze becomes gentle.

A special shoutout to the Jin Feng Yi Yun Hot Spring Hotel where I stayed! Just a 1-minute walk from the ancient city, no hassle at all. The private hot spring room I booked was amazing, with a balcony featuring an independent hot spring pool, offering full privacy. Soaking in the 40°C hot spring at night while sipping hot tea washes away all the fatigue from exploring the ancient city during the day.
