Discovering the Charm of Shuhe Ancient Town 🏯

During a past visit to Shuhe Ancient Town, situated east of Xunyang City in Ankang, I admired its unique architectural style with buildings predominantly made of blue bricks and black tiles, exuding ancient charm.

Yangsi Temple, the highest point, provided the best vantage point for viewing the town nestled against the mountains and rivers. To the south of the temple, a rock wall with several hydrological inscriptions showcased the town's history of thriving and enduring challenges due to the river. Huangzhou Guild Hall, built during the Qing Dynasty, impressed me with its exquisite decorations and the ingenious connection between the archway and the theater stage. The Mosque, founded in the Ming Dynasty, built on a cliff, offered a tranquil and serene environment, featuring the unique "Cat's Arched Back" fire wall, a rare feature in traditional Chinese mosques.

Remember to wear comfortable shoes and respect local customs. Shuhe Ancient Town's historical charm and cultural richness make it a must-visit destination. 🌿😊
