This fall, I traveled to Yangshuo with my children and was looking for a family-friendly destination where we could truly enjoy the natural beauty. We chose Yuyuan Jingshe, and it was a truly remarkable choice. The hotel is located right on the Yulong River, offering sweeping mountain views and lush greenery from both the room and the garden. You can even watch bamboo rafts drift by, creating a tranquil environment perfect for a family getaway.

The hotel is ideally located, not far from the city center, yet completely serene. The Yulong River Pier is just a few minutes' walk away, making it a convenient spot for photo opportunities. You can also purchase tickets on-site for a bamboo raft ride and experience the unique beauty of the Li River. West Street is a 20-minute drive from the hotel, making it easy to explore the old street. The front desk can help book taxis. The hotel is also surrounded by the famous Ten-Mile Art Gallery, the Big Banyan Tree, and Yulong Bridge, all iconic Yangshuo attractions. We highly recommend a half-day walking or cycling tour.

Yuyuan Jingshe offers modern and thoughtful amenities, with plenty of photo-taking spots in the lobby and restaurant. In the morning, the light streaming in through the windows makes it incredibly relaxing to sit and sip a cup of coffee. The swimming pool was a delight for the children. The water was kept pristine, allowing them to play freely. The surrounding mountain and river views were also stunning, allowing adults to sit by the pool and enjoy the natural beauty. The service was also exceptional. The front desk and restaurant staff were incredibly welcoming and proactively recommended nearby attractions. They even helped arrange bamboo rafts and taxis, saving us from unnecessary hassles.

My true experience was that the natural beauty and local people here offered a truly authentic vacation experience. I recommend waking up early to take a stroll along the Yulong River. The morning mist and mountain scenery create a feeling of being transported to a painting. The hotel's breakfast was fresh and authentic, especially the vegetables and rice, which I thoroughly enjoyed every day. In the evenings, you can chat in the garden or play board games. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, time feels slower, making it a perfect family trip.

Booking tip: During peak holiday seasons (summer vacation and National Day), be sure to book popular room types in advance, as mountain view rooms with balconies are difficult to secure. Most hotels accept WeChat and Ctrip bookings, and transfer services can be arranged upon request. Consider planning a one or two days purely at the hotel, allowing children to play in the pool while adults enjoy a leisurely lifestyle.

City Travel Tips: Yangshuo boasts many mountainous roads and riverside attractions, so bring mosquito repellent and sun hats with children. Be careful when cycling or rafting, and book your trip with the hotel in advance to avoid the hassle of finding tickets at the last minute.
