If you yearn for delicious food amidst natural scenery, Yangshuo is a town perfect for a slow pace. On this trip, I dined at the Secret Garden B&B in Jiuxian Village and also visited the "Xiyue Waterfront B&B (Yangshuo Shili Gallery Yulong River Branch) Aerial View Travel Photography Restaurant" to immerse myself in the idyllic countryside.
Secret Garden B&B
Address: Jiuxian Village (Located amidst the Yangshuo landscape, offering a breathtakingly tranquil setting)
Signature Dishes: This fusion of Eastern and Western cuisine offers a delightful menu, from exquisite brunch plates and handmade pizzas to garden salads and Guilin-style stir-fried rice noodles. Western main courses include homemade braised beef and pan-fried chicken breast, paired with seasonal fruits and vegetables. Dinner is complemented by a selection of wines.
Environment: The B&B's dining area faces the garden and mountain views. On nice days, enjoy the outdoor breeze and the chirping of insects, a truly relaxing experience. The warm and elegant interior is perfect for couples or families, and in the mornings, you can even hear the chirping of birds in the village.
Opening Hours: Breakfast is served until 10:30 AM, and lunch and dinner are served from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Prices: Menu prices range from RMB 50 to 100 per person, and accommodation prices vary depending on the season, with discounts available during the off-season. Reservations are required during peak season.
Food Review: The food is fresh, the presentation is thoughtful, and the overall dining atmosphere is relaxing. Their brunch and homemade yogurt are highly recommended, offering a refreshing flavor. The Western cuisine is excellent and perfect for those looking for a change of pace.

Atmosphere: The highlight is the sky-high observation deck, where you can enjoy a meal while overlooking the Yulong River and the Ten-Li Gallery. The warm wood decor and transparent floor-to-ceiling windows provide privacy and are perfect for photo ops.
Hours: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with meals available all day.
Price: Meals are approximately RMB 80-150 per person, making it a great value and the views are well worth the price.
Reviews: Perfect for groups of friends or families, enjoying the scenery and taking photos. The beer-baked fish is delicious and tender, and the special sauce is truly flavorful. Some dishes are generously portioned, making them perfect for sharing.
Tip: Yangshuo's village-style B&Bs are generally quiet and peaceful, so it's recommended to dine early to avoid peak hours and enjoy the best views. Some B&Bs can be crowded, so it's recommended to book a table at the restaurant a day in advance. For an authentic Guilin experience, ask the restaurant for recommendations on local specialties; every time you try something, you'll be pleasantly surprised!
