Xidi Village (Anhui)

#chinatravel

Xidi Village, like its sister village Hongcun, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and showcases the best of Huizhou architecture. With over 100 well-preserved homes from the Ming and Qing dynasties, Xidi is like an open-air museum. The labyrinth of alleys, stone-paved streets, and intricately carved wooden doors evoke a deep sense of history. Less crowded than Hongcun, it offers a quieter, more contemplative look at traditional village life in ancient China.
