Yongshun Laosi Fortress

There are many places with natural bridges, and here is a village in Yongshun County that is named directly after its natural stone bridge, called "Zishengqiao Village." The village is located by the Shi River, in the river section between Diaojing Township and Laosicheng. The Shi River passes through the natural bridge here, and not far downstream is the Siliu Waterfall. A few kilometers further downstream is Laosicheng. Continuing downstream, you will reach the Mengdong River rafting area. This small river is definitely a scenic river. Back to the point, the natural bridge in Zishengqiao Village is 50 meters wide, 30 meters high, and 80 meters long. After flowing over a small shoal, the river water enters the cave of the natural bridge and flows out about 80 meters later from the other end of the bridge. At the entrance of the cave, the incoming sand has accumulated into a small sand island that can accommodate dozens of people. This place is only about a 40-minute drive from Yongshun County town and is a great spot to cool off in the summer. On hot summer days, many people drive here. There is a small simple parking lot on the shore that can squeeze in about 10 cars. From the parking lot, stone steps lead down to the riverbank. Many people are playing in the water by the river. A small wooden boat carries tourists to the small sand island inside the cave, where there are already quite a few people, estimated to be about 30 to 40. They are having a picnic there. Outside the cave, the sun is blazing, but inside the cave, a cool breeze blows, making it a perfect place to seek refuge. On the high ground to the right of the main cave, there is another natural bridge arch, but it is higher and has no water. I think maybe the river used to flow through there, but later the riverbed cut down and changed course to the current waterway, forming the new natural bridge (just a guess). The road into Zishengqiao Village crosses over the natural bridge here and continues along the riverside road downstream. The left bank road ends at Hejiaping, and the right bank road ends at Shanghe Village group. Further downstream, you can only travel by water. If you get a small inflatable boat to drift down, it would definitely be interesting. You can drift to Siliu Waterfall and also to Laosicheng.
