Yosemite National Park Review

#SeptemberTravelGrant

My hiking experience in Yosemite was particularly memorable. The Mist Trail has quite steep and slippery sections, so choosing my footwear was crucial. After a bit of rain, the stone and wooden steps were wet, requiring careful attention. The rapid currents and the area below the waterfalls could be more dangerous than expected. However, this section truly showcases the dynamism of nature. The view from above Vernal Falls, particularly the rushing water, the eroded rock formations, and the sunlight filtering through the forest, was truly picturesque, more impressive than I'd ever seen in photos.

I also hiked the trail above Grand Falls (Yosemite Falls). While it was challenging, the panoramic views of the valley and surrounding mountains from the summit were worth it. While the park's backpacking and camping facilities are excellent, it required a lot of preparation, and temperatures dropped significantly at night. It's important to pack extra warm clothing, a hat, a lantern, and snacks to reduce your burden.

If you have a travel subsidy, you can afford to purchase equipment, camping fees, and hiking guide fees. If you're traveling solo or with your family, the financial burden will be significantly reduced. Overall, Yosemite is a highly recommended September trip for those who want to experience the power, tranquility, and grandeur of nature all at once.
