Oita - Kinrin Lake

Due to the inflow of both freshwater and hot springs, the lake's temperature remains relatively high throughout the year🌫️. This creates a mystical morning fog over the lake, which is especially prominent on winter mornings🏞️.

Although I visited around noon and didn't see much fog, the serene, mirror-like surface of the lake was still stunning. I remember my first visit when it was raining heavily. Despite getting soaked, the ripples on the lake created a different kind of beauty. This time, the weather was great, but there were too many people, and we were on a tight schedule, so we couldn't stay long. If you have time, a leisurely walk by the lake would be wonderful (if there aren't too many people).
