I recently took the Yufuin no Mori train, and it felt like I was instantly transported into a Hayao Miyazaki movie! The entire experience was so magical and charming. The train itself is a beautiful, forest-green retro design, and the journey through the scenic Japanese countryside was an absolute highlight of my trip.

The Experience Onboard

Stepping onto the train, I was immediately enchanted by the warm, wood-paneled interior and the comfortable, plush seats. It truly felt like a fairytale. My Tips for Your Trip

This is a very popular train, so I can't stress this enough: you have to book your tickets in advance! They sell out quickly, especially during peak seasons. The train runs from Hakata Station in Fukuoka to Yufuin Station in Oita, with the journey taking about 2 hours and 15 minutes. It's a bit more expensive than a regular train, but I promise the experience is worth every penny.

The Yufuin no Mori isn't just transportation; it's a destination in itself. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to start their Yufuin adventure in the most magical way possible!
