Visit Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in early March 🏔️✨

March is considered the end of winter in China. Some years, the snow may start to thin out because the weather is warmer. But this year, we were lucky. It snowed in early March, allowing us to see fluffy snow on the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It was so beautiful. On the day we went, there was sunlight alternating with fog floating on the mountaintop. It was a view that was much more beautiful than we expected. 🥹🫶🏻❄️

Date: 4/3/2025 (Today is the first day of the long holiday for Lijiang people. They will be closed for a total of 5 days, so there were a lot of people. The queue to get on the cable car was quite long. If you are coming at the beginning of the month, plan well.)
Time: 10:00 a.m. (We chose to take the cable car at this time because we wanted to see the sunrise at Yun Yang Ting Cafe first. Note: The cable car has a specific time. You must be on time or no more than 30 minutes late according to the time on the ticket.)
Time to stay up there: About 3-4 hours

Essentials 📍
- Canned oxygen (you will definitely need it because the air is very thin)
- Chocolate (eat to recharge)
- Full set of winter gear! Coats, gloves, scarves, hats because it's so cold up there 🥶
- Cameras, I want to take pictures from every angle because it's so beautiful 🥶

Additional tips✨
- The guide recommends taking the cable car no later than 10:00 AM because the wind may be strong in the morning and the cable car may not be up.
- It's easier to book tickets through an agent and get tickets for sure.
- Keep your body warm and move slowly to avoid dizziness.
- To come to Lijiang, you can book train tickets on Trip. It's super easy 🥰

💰Average price per person: Cable car ticket and Blue Moon 480 yuan/person
🗓️Travel planning: It's not long to take a car from Lijiang city, about 1 hour (or you may not arrive if there's no traffic).
