When it comes to sacred places revered by Thai-Chinese people and tourists, the Guan Yu Shrine in Rai Hainan (Ban Rai Hainan, Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chonburi Province) is undoubtedly one of them. 💯
History & Background
This shrine was built to serve as a spiritual anchor for the Thai-Chinese community, particularly the Rai Hainan villagers.
It houses the statue of Guan Yu, the god of honesty, loyalty, courage, and protection. 🙇♂️⚔️The highlight is the 25.55-meter-tall Guan Yu statue, which is said to be one of the largest in Thailand.
Beyond worship, the shrine also hosts various traditional ceremonies and rituals passed down from our ancestors.
