Taiyi Village Scenic Area is located at the foot of Taiyi Peak west of Hanpokou in Lushan Mountain, along the ancient mountain trail to the south . Legend has it that the ancient Taoist master Taiyi Zhenren cultivated and achieved immortality here. Over 800 meters above sea level, surrounded by peaks, it offers warm winters and cool summers. Nestled among lush bamboo, the tranquil environment offers close-up views of the peaks and distant views of Poyang Lake, making it an ideal spot for summer escape and relaxation.
There are watchtowers and blockhouses in front and behind the village. Stone paths crisscross the village, and pavilions are dotted around it. More than a dozen villas, each with a different style but harmonious colors, are elegantly named, such as Wan'an, Sanliu Chao, Ailu, etc. Kang Youwei, Feng Yuxiang, Jiang Jingguo and others have stayed here.
To the north of Taiyi Village lies Taiyi Peak, situated in the center of the Wulao, Hanyang, and Jiuqi peaks, resembling the Taiyi constellation in space, hence the name. To the west of Taiyi Village lies the Jiuqi Peak tourist area, featuring the Tianshu Wall, Jiuqi Pavilion, Taiyi Palace, and a mountain path west of Taiyi Palace, ascending to Jiuqi Peak.
East of Taiyi Village, an ancient stone path winds through the shady trees to the mouth of Hanpo Mountain. East of this path lies Baishuicao, home to the Jinlu Waterfall Scenic Area. Baishuicao flows from the foot of Hanpo Mountain and has two waterfalls: the upper one, known as Zhaikou Waterfall, now called Qicai Waterfall. The lower waterfall is extremely difficult to reach and is known as Sanshiliang Waterfall. Liu Tongsheng of the Ming Dynasty wrote "Records of the Three Stone Beams of Mount Lushan," and the "Three Stone Beams hanging upside down" in Li Bai's Tang Dynasty poem refers to this waterfall .
