Passing through the main hall and the Holy Mother Hall of the Zhifa Palace, and heading back, the view suddenly shifts: the solemn temple atmosphere gives way to an elegant garden scene.
In the garden behind the rear hall, a stone bridge spans the water, where gurgling water cascades down between rockery, forming a small waterfall. Shaded by greenery, the gurgling water echoes with the distant Buddhist chants within the hall, creating a unique tranquility.
Here, incense is no longer the only medium; instead, the sound of rocks and water washes away the worldly thoughts. On the bridge, the pace slows; before the waterfall, the mind clears. This landscape is not merely an ornament, but a reminder: Dharma, like water, nourishes all things without contention.
On this journey, I finally understood that Zhifa Palace is not only solemn but also delicate. The front hall is majestic, the back is gentle; the main hall is a place for prayer, the garden a place of home.
