Niigata Prefecture is a rice and sake producing region.

At Ponshukan in Echigo Yuzawa Station, you can find all the representative brands of Niigata sake breweries.

After paying one coin (500 yen) at the entrance, you will be given a sake cup and five medals to enjoy your favorite sake.

The number of medals required varies depending on the sake.

You can also purchase your favorite sake at the souvenir shop next door.
