Tianmen Mountain

Tianmenshan （天门山）is a popular spot among Chinese tourists and is 100% worth the visit if you’re in China.

Sitting right next to Zhangjiajie - the avatar mountains - it gets quite a bit less publicity than it’s neighbour, but don’t ignore it.

With a huge staircase up to the top, it’s a great place to just go and stare in awe and the landscape. Everything is epic. The mountain? epic. The stairs? epic. The view from the stairs? just great. Even the road that leads to the top of the mountain is a must-see photo spot.

Just beware of actually getting on one of the buses - it’s not for the faint hearted! 🚌
