Tianmen Mountain - 天门山

Trip date: May 27th 2021
Getting There - From my hotel, the owner drove me to the entrance on the mountain where I paid the entrance and cable car fee. Then I took the cable car up part way where I climbed up the steps to the hole in the mountain. It's tough but a wonderful achievement! From here there's more to explore around the top which took me around 3 hours, then there's another cable car that can take you right down to the railway station in town.
Attractions - Of course the hole in the mountain! Around the top there's also long escalators which take you up further, but they are very narrow and you can't walk up them past people, so it can take around 15mins to get past all the escalators. There's a glass bridge you can walk around for a small fee which is exciting if you like that sort of thing. And you can walk across a long hanging bridge which is also thrilling! In all, the trip took me from about 10:30-15:00.
Food & Restaurants - There are some small food places along the way but suggest you bring water and snacks too.
