Zhangjiajie Magic✨

Hola travel travel lovers! Here’s how I made the most of a wild weekend in Zhangjiajie & Tonghua — crazy stone pillars, epic views, and some random K-pop bus vibes 🤩🌄 and two guys that love to hike support me all the way up to the mountains 🏔️!

Top Spots to Visit in Zhangjiajie:
Day 1: Kick things off in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (Wulingyuan District, open 7am–5pm, ¥227). My top trick: hit the western trails first thing in the morning to dodge the crowds and catch mystic views in the fog — perfect for those “floating mountains” shots!
Prepare enough water because it is going to get wet!! After your trek, hop on an electric park bus (yes, the playlist is surprisingly full of K-pop bangers) to glide past the iconic Avatar Mountains.

Don’t miss the Bailong Elevator (Yinyuan Villa, open 7am–7pm, ¥65). It’s the world’s highest outdoor lift and will rocket you up the mountains in minutes — totally worth it for the killer panoramas.

Day 2: Explore more of the west side of the park for fresh scenery. Head to Tianbo Mountain for even bolder cliff views, then chill out on the Natural Bridge and Avatars Mountain Platform in the evening. FYI: It gets a bit crowded, but the sunset is truly peak Zhangjiajie… #noregrets.

Practical Tips:
🚌 Getting Around: Inside the park, electric buses are super easy (and surprisingly fun). Buy tickets on trip.com and consider arriving early to avoid queues.
🍲 Where to Eat: Try local Hunan food at eateries near Wulingyuan; spicy tofu and for those vegetarians, you can always say: 不要肉 (bu yao rou) I don’t want meat!

🌦️ Weather Watch: Zhangjiajie is often misty/rainy — pack layers and a poncho for those “clouds and fog” photo moments.
Remember to install alipay and wechat to pay!
