Fukuoka Tourism 2023 "Mangyoji Temple"

While sightseeing in Fukuoka, I stopped by the tourist spot "Mangyoji Temple".
"Mangyoji Temple" is a Jodo Shinshu Honganji temple located about 5 minutes north of Canal City Hakata. The temple gate at the entrance was magnificent. Immediately after entering the gate, there is the grave of the prostitute Meigetsu. In 1529 (the second year of the Kyoroku era), by order of the 8th abbot of Honganji, Rennyo, Seiku founded the temple and built a hermitage in Fugendo-cho. A few years later, Honganji allowed the temple to take the name Mangayoji Temple, which has continued to this day.
