⚠️ Pitfall Avoidance Tips
Before going to the island, be sure to check the weather! First, it only looks good on sunny days; second, avoid typhoon cancellations that stop sailing and prevent leaving the island.

Regarding how to take a boat from Shenzhen to Dong'ao Island: Shenzhen Shekou - Dong'ao Island is 150 RMB/person. If there are many people, driving to Zhuhai Hengqin and then taking Hengqin - Dong'ao Island at 90 RMB/person is more cost-effective.

There are three main routes on Dong'ao Island. You can hike or take a sightseeing bus for 60 RMB/person (price per single route, you can get on and off at any stop). If time is limited, it is recommended to mainly explore Route 3, which has more beautiful scenery (coconut tree lawn beach, seaside boardwalk, church white houses, and sea windmills can all be seen).

If you have good stamina, it is personally recommended to hike on the way there and take the bus back (only 10 RMB/person for the return trip), which saves money💰 and allows better appreciation of the scenery along the way.

For seafood, you can buy it at the seafood fish stalls at the pier (remember to bargain), then find a restaurant to cook it (basically every restaurant charges 20 RMB per jin, you can ask a few to compare), which is more cost-effective.
