Jingzixian Mountain, a sister scenic area to Longtan Grand Canyon, is located in Shijing Town, Xin'an County, and is one of the main scenic areas of the Daimeishan World Geopark. Surrounded by towering mountains, its main peak, Tiantan Peak, stands at 829 meters above sea level. Facing the Yellow River to the north, the towering cliffs offer a stunning view of the scenery along the banks of the Xiaolangdi Reservoir. A shining pearl of the Greater Yellow River Tourism Belt, it is a comprehensive scenic area integrating Taoist culture, sightseeing, ecological leisure, vacation and recuperation, outdoor sports, and cultural study.
Jingzixian Mountain gets its name from the abundance of thorn trees, which, during flowering season, blanket the mountain in purple blossoms. The mountain is majestic and steep, with a solitary peak standing out from the sky. Stretching east-west for dozens of miles along the southern bank of the Yellow River, it faces Shizu Mountain to the east, borders Daimei Mountain to the west, converges with the remnants of Xiao Mountain to the south, and faces Wangwu Mountain across the river to the north. Its jagged peaks and lush green mountains are etched in the poetic line, "Borrowing the beauty of the peaks of Taihua, it holds down the banks of the Yellow River," a vivid reflection of the mountain's majestic grandeur.
Jingzixian Mountain has always been known for the wonder of "Jingzi Mist". In the "Xin'an County Chronicles" in the 31st year of Qianlong's reign, it was listed as one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Xin'an.
