The Linlu Mountain National Scenic Area is located 10 kilometers west of Linzhou City, Henan Province, at the junction of Henan, Shanxi, and Hebei Provinces. It covers a total area of 317.38 square kilometers, of which the core scenic area covers 180 square kilometers. It borders the Linxian Basin to the east and the Shanxi Plateau to the west. The mountain is primarily composed of Sinian metamorphic and crystalline rocks. The terrain is complex and steep.
Linlu Mountain boasts a rich history and is dotted with cultural relics and historical sites, including one national-level cultural relic protection site, 15 provincial-level sites, and over 70 municipal and county-level sites. The renowned Honggushan Thousand Buddha Caves, the Tang Dynasty Dayuan Zen Master Cliff Stone Pagoda, and the Three True Images Niches Inscription Stele, both uniquely designed and considered masterpieces, are designated provincial-level key cultural relic protection sites.
Linlu Mountain boasts a warm, semi-humid continental monsoon climate. Its highest peak, at 1,675 meters above sea level, creates a unique mountain climate. Annual rainfall averages around 670 mm. Four distinct seasons offer abundant sunshine, with warm springs and little rain, followed by cool autumns. The average temperature is 12.7°C, making it a suitable destination for all seasons.
Linlü Mountain's major scenic spots include the Mountain View Scenic Area, Wangxiangyan Scenic Area, Xiantai Mountain Scenic Area, Peach Blossom Valley Scenic Area, Taihang Pinghu Scenic Area, and the Linlü Mountain International Gliding Base. The inverted winter and summer wonders of Peach Blossom Valley, where peach blossoms bloom in the icy cold of winter, and the frozen caves in the scorching heat of summer, are truly enigmatic and captivating. The Taihang Grand Canyon's rich natural and cultural attractions attract visitors from all over the world, attracting large numbers of tourists each year seeking sightseeing, camping, recreation, and gliding and rock climbing.
