Introducing Xudu Park

Xudu Park is located in Weidu District, Xuchang City, Henan Province. It is located south of Jian'an Avenue, east of Jinger Road, west of Jingsi Road, and north of Weisi Road. It covers a total area of 343 acres. It is the largest citizen leisure park in Xuchang City, integrating sightseeing, conferences and leisure, and cultural gatherings.

The entire park emphasizes the use of soft elements such as water and greenery. Nearly 10,000 square meters of waterscapes are strategically arranged along the park's main perimeters and in its corners. Upon entering Xudu Park, visitors feel transported to a Jiangnan water town, where waterscapes abound. These are graceful, tranquil, and serene during the day, yet vibrant and lively at night.

Xudu Park's water system features over 12,000 nozzles, arranged into various types, including running fountains, gushing fountains, and dry fountains. The running fountains, with waves chasing each other, resemble children at play; the gushing fountains, set in above-ground landscape pools, gush out like blooming flowers; and the dry fountains, hidden beneath the pavement in the center of the park, do not normally interfere with visitors. Once activated, the water jets can reach heights of over 30 meters, a truly breathtaking sight.

Climate and best time to travel

Xudu Park has a warm temperate subhumid monsoon climate. In spring, azalea, bauhinia, Sophora japonica, crabapple, cherry blossom and other flowering plants are used as a backdrop to show the vitality of Xudu Park. In summer, a large number of osmanthus, albizzia, horse chestnut, magnolia and other plants are planted in the leisure teahouse, and the refreshing floral fragrance and landscape trees give people olfactory and visual enjoyment. In autumn, plants represented by beech and red maple present people with bright colors of yellow and red. In winter, wintersweet shows the vivid colors of winter, and evergreen plants represented by cedar give people vitality and energy.

All seasons are suitable for travel.

The main project of Xudu Park is divided into four areas, namely the central axis collection display area, green ecological landscape area, leisure and entertainment area, and commercial activity area.

The central axis sequence collection and display area. Beyond the park's landmark monument lies Lotus Square. Spanning 800 square meters, Lotus Square is shaped like a delicate lotus, highlighting Xuchang's reputation as the "Lotus City." Lotus Square not only serves as a major leisure hub, but also, along with the central stage in front, forms a vital venue for various cultural performances and ceremonial events. It's particularly noteworthy that, at night, it becomes the main fountain of Xudu Park's large musical fountain.

After passing the Lotus Square and going up the stone steps, this flat ground is the central stage of Xudu Park. It can be used as a performance venue or as a rostrum. The Lotus Square in front is a place for citizens to stop and watch, and the water curtain behind and the colorful lights around it can together create a magnificent stage effect.
