Introducing Wenfeng Plaza

Xuchang Wenfeng Square is located in Weidu District, Xuchang City, Henan Province, southeast of the intersection of Wenfeng Road and Liancheng Avenue. Named for the ancient Wenfeng Pagoda to its south, it is a popular spot for leisure and entertainment. Upon arriving at Wenfeng Square, the first thing you see is the towering Wenfeng Pagoda to the south. Also known as the Wenming Temple Pagoda, it was built in 1615 during the Ming Dynasty. Standing 51.3 meters tall, the octagonal tower, with wind chimes hanging from each corner, stands thirteen stories tall, imposing and rigorously constructed, showcasing the exceptional skill and exquisite craftsmanship of Ming Dynasty craftsmen.

Wenfeng Square is surrounded by lush groves and tall buildings. North of Wenfeng Tower stands a striking large screen, broadcasting daily news and weather forecasts. At the foot of the tower lies a winding river, at the northern end of which stand lifelike full-length bronze statues of the renowned Seven Sages of the Jian'an Period. Across the river from the Seven Sages is a circular gate, the entrance to the Underground Library. In the center of the square lies a massive musical fountain. In the summer, the fountain, illuminated by beautiful music, sprays a dazzling display of colorful water, creating a dazzling spectacle. Some even venture into the fountain to play, only to emerge drenched.
