
Located at the foot of Lion Mountain in Shizi Township, Jiujiang County, Lion Cave is named after the mountain's shape, which resembles a giant lion lying down. The cave is full of twists and turns, creating a complex and colorful scene.
The cave, nearly 500 meters long , officially opened to the public in 1982. The cave's total area of 1,300 square meters consists of seven halls and nearly 40 landscapes, each interconnected. These include the front hall, reception hall, celebration hall, jade curtain hall, purple bamboo hall, blue lotus hall, and key storage hall. The main hall is 19 meters high and 11 meters wide, creating a magnificent spectacle.
The stalactites throughout the cave are dazzling and colorful, creating various birds, beasts, bamboos, trees, peacocks, stone swans, stone lions, stone elephants, stone monkeys, stone turtles, stone crocodiles, stone mermaids, stone door gods, stone drums, stone cages, stone pagodas, stone forests, stone lotuses, stone chrysanthemums, as well as stone pillars, stone railings, stone tents, stone curtains, stone springs, as well as other birds, beasts, flowers, grasses, bamboos, trees, etc., forming a wonderful world of animals and plants, which is lifelike and full of vitality.
