The Yuhuangge Wetland straddles the border of Yaozhou District, New District, and Fuping County in Shaanxi Province. It stretches 13.5 kilometers and boasts a superior geographical location, convenient transportation, and a beautiful environment.

The wetland runs through the Zhaoshi River basin within the area, with the Yuhuangge Reservoir upstream. In mid-season, the area boasts lush greenery and beautiful waters, home to a variety of wildlife, including geese, ducks, black storks, banded swans, and hares. The Shenhe Ruins, a provincially protected cultural relic, are also home to over 3,000 mu of lotus ponds and a variety of fruits, including apples, persimmons, and plums. Downstream, the Yanchang Temple, a provincially protected cultural relic, is located.

Every July and August, over 3,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) of lotus flowers bloom, attracting crowds of visitors. Especially in winter, flocks of wild swans roost here, attracting many visitors from other areas. The area also forms a loop with other famous scenic spots in the city, such as Yaowang Mountain in Yaozhou District and the Zhaojin Fragrant Mountain Scenic Area, making it a popular destination for leisure and recreation for residents.
