Introducing Wengdongtan Waterfall

Located in Kaiyang County, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, Wengdongtan Waterfall is an undeveloped wild waterfall. Standing tens of meters high, it resembles a silver chain falling into a pool, its water splashing in all directions. The cascading waters contrast beautifully with the surrounding lush greenery, creating a picturesque landscape.

The rainy season is generally from May to October, especially from June to July, when the water volume of the waterfall is larger and the scenery is more spectacular. If you like to appreciate the majestic momentum of the waterfall, then the rainy season may be the best choice.

【How to get there and what to do】

From Guiyang, take the Yinbai Expressway or Yunkai Secondary Highway and navigate to Xiaoguguang Village, Green Village, Longgang Town, Kaiyang County. Park on the left side of the road, close to the inside. Follow the dirt driveway on the right side of the road for about ten minutes to the base of the waterfall. Admire the waterfall from various angles around the pool and explore the surrounding canyons and caves.

*Note: Wengdongtan Waterfall is undeveloped and has relatively poor infrastructure. Please be mindful of safety when visiting. It is recommended to wear sneakers and be accompanied by someone. Also, please be mindful of environmental protection and avoid damaging the natural landscape.
