The Jinkouhe Grand Canyon stretches from the frozen Wusi River in the west to the Jinkouhe River, spanning the Jinkouhe District of Leshan City, Sichuan Province. It stretches 26 kilometers, with a valley width less than 200 meters. The valley floor is generally 70 to 200 meters wide, with some areas less than 50 meters. The valley shoulder reaches a maximum width of approximately 8 kilometers, and the canyon reaches a depth of 2,600 meters. The canyon is unparalleled in its unbroken length, steepness, and grandeur.
The canyon's banks are dotted with peculiar peaks and towering cliffs, creating a variety of lifelike pictographic landscapes resembling humans and animals. The overlapping mountains are shaded by green trees, cascading waterfalls, and a variety of wild flowers and plants compete for beauty, creating a gorgeous landscape with an elegant natural charm. Numerous small gullies have emerged along the canyon, forming a staggered pattern, the most famous of which is the "One Line Sky" (a line of sky).
The cliffs on both sides of the gully are so close that you can only see the sky when you look up. The several kilometers of road leading to Laochanggou in the center of the gully is even more amazing, with steep cliffs, gurgling streams, singing birds and beasts, and narrow paths. It is a perfect display of nature's " malice " .
The scenic area is filled with the fragrance of flowers all year round and has a unique scenery. It was called " the most charming natural park in the world " by American natural scientist Beber.

The park is usually open from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Spring and autumn are ideal for pleasant weather and clear visibility. Early mornings are best for fewer crowds and photography.
Entrance fees are approximately 80–120 CNY depending on the season. Tickets can be purchased on-site or through official tourism websites and local travel agencies.
Advance booking is recommended during peak tourist seasons or weekends, ideally 2–5 days before your visit to secure entrance and adventure activity slots.
Plan for 4–6 hours to explore the main trails, viewpoints, and waterfall areas. Full-day visits allow for a more relaxed pace.
Guided tours in Chinese are commonly available. English-speaking guides may be arranged through private tour operators. Audio guides are generally limited or unavailable.
Start at the main entrance, follow the marked canyon trail to waterfalls and viewpoints, cross suspension bridges, and return via the same or alternate scenic paths for variety. Include stops for photography and rest areas.
Night visits are generally not permitted. Special adventure tours or group hikes may be arranged by local operators during daytime.
The canyon is busy on weekends and public holidays. Weekdays and mornings are the least crowded times.
Facilities include restrooms at main entrances and key viewpoints, small snack stalls, water stations, and souvenir shops near the entrance.
Some trails are steep and may be challenging for the elderly or very young children. Parts of the canyon may be accessible via shuttle buses or easier paths, but wheelchair access is limited.
