Yunding Grassland is located in Gaopo Township, Huaxi District, Guiyang City, in the eastern part of Gaopo, about 37 kilometers away from Guiyang Huaxi Scenic Area. It is a Miao Autonomous Township with the Miao ethnic group as the main population, and Han and Buyi ethnic groups living together. It is a great place to experience the grassland scenery.

It's rare to find vast, flat grasslands in such high altitudes. The gentle hills stretch endlessly, creating a sense of the vast expanse of the Great Wall, where cattle and sheep can be seen amidst the wind-blown grass . The mountains are high, and so are the waters. At the very top, a mirror-like " Tiantang " lies, nestled beside the bamboo gardens and thatched cottages of a Miao village. Clouds linger on the mountaintops, gathering and dispersing, creating a ethereal, fairy-like atmosphere.

Climate and best time to travel

In spring and summer, there are endless green grasslands, and in autumn, there are clumps of reeds floating. In this small Miao village, many people come here to barbecue in summer and autumn.
