Introducing Panlong Cave Area

Panlong Cave, formerly known as Xinglong Temple, is located in Panlong Valley. There are five caves in the valley, and a naturally formed Tai Chi diagram on the top of the cave, with a dragon and a phoenix in the diagram.

The Five Caves were formed together with the Yellow River Stone Forest in the geological period between the end of the Tertiary and the beginning of the Quaternary. Due to crustal movement, weathering and rain erosion, natural caves mainly composed of yellow sandstone were formed.

Panlong Cave is 16 meters deep, 13 meters wide, 3-4 meters high, and 8 meters at its highest point. The temperature inside the cave is kept at around 17 degrees all year round.
