The air-raid pavilion is located in Guiyang Huaxi Park. Inscribed on the pavilion are the words " No air defense means no national defense " . It was carved on the National Revival Day in 1939. The characters are huge and written in Weibei style, which is thick and powerful.
This inscription was carved on the cliff to highlight the importance of air defense during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. It was removed in the early days of the People's Republic of China, and only traces of the removal can be seen now.
