When attending a Braves game at Truist Park, it's essential to find a hotel that is not only close to the stadium but also in a safe area for walking, especially after a night game. Here’s an overview of the hotels you're considering and some additional tips on the safety of walking to and from the stadium:
- Aloft Atlanta at the Battery: This hotel is one of the closest options to Truist Park, located just across the street from the stadium. It's part of the Battery Atlanta, a lively entertainment district with bars, restaurants, and shops. The area is very safe, especially during Braves games, as there are plenty of people around and the area is well-lit. Walking to and from the stadium should be very safe.
- Sheraton Atlanta Hotel: Located about 10 miles from Truist Park, the Sheraton is not within walking distance of the stadium, so you would need to take a short drive or use a rideshare service to get to the game. While the area around the hotel is generally safe, it’s not as convenient as staying closer to Truist Park for walking back after a night game.
- Residence Inn by Marriott Atlanta Cumberland/Galleria: This hotel is also very close to the stadium, located in the Cumberland/Galleria area, just a short walk to Truist Park. The area is generally safe, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Like Aloft, you’ll be in a bustling area with many other visitors on game day, making it a safe and convenient option for walking.
- Spark by Hilton Atlanta: This hotel is a bit farther from the stadium compared to Aloft and Residence Inn, but it’s still within a reasonable distance (about 1.5 miles). You may need to walk a little farther, but the area around Truist Park is well-lit and busy during game days, which makes it relatively safe. The hotel is located near other restaurants and shops, making it a good option for those who don't mind a slightly longer walk to the ballpark.
Overall, for a short walk to Truist Park, the Aloft Atlanta and Residence Inn Cumberland/Galleria are the best options in terms of proximity and safety. Both hotels are located in a busy, well-lit area and will allow for a quick and safe walk to the stadium, even after a night game. If you're looking for the most convenient option, I'd recommend one of these two. For those staying at the Sheraton or Spark by Hilton, you will need a short drive or rideshare to get to the stadium, but the areas are still safe.
Enjoy the game and your stay in Atlanta!
