Travel During Pride Weekend

My partner and I are trying to decide if we want to come to Boston during pride weekend. We had originally planned to come the first weekend in June but after realizing that pride weekend is the second weekend we are thinking of changing our plans. We are from Alabama so our pride festival is not a huge deal but if Boston is a huge celebration we would love to join. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!
